Andouille Sausage & Rice
This dish is a must. The sausage is fantastic and blends perfectly with the rice for an excellent, hearty side or mail meal. Bit spicy, but not too much. Highly recommend.
Collard Greens
These are absolutely amazing. I'm from Virginia and love collard greens and these blew me away. A punch of flavor, the right amount of spice, and chock full of meat. Fabulous!
Pulled Pork by the pound
Picked up a pound of pulled pork to make sliders for me and my bf last Saturday night and it was delicious!! Had a flavorful peppery taste to it that we loved. I only wish I had asked for a little more BBQ sauce! We'll definitely have to get more meat again from here sometime :)
Texas Brisket Dinner
Great Service, friendly but professional. The space is nice, simple and organized (It was my childhood sub shop back in the 70s...Jack and Mary's!!!) The Brisket was our favorite, a little bit different from our local favorites. A bit lighter, but really tender and not too greasy. The salty rub also was a touch different, but appreciate. We will certainly return for the Brisket!!!!

Texas Caviar (black bean & corn salad)
The Texas Caviar black bean & corn salad is AMAZING. I am not a corn person and thought that this would be a filler item, but it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It has a vinegar sauce that's just the right level of tart and sweet and keeps great for leftovers. We even froze some extra we got for catering and it was perfect! Highly recommend.
KC Burnt Ends (Special)
The food here is amazing! Only outshone by the lovely nature of the Don himself. We had the brisket, smoked turkey leg, burnt ends (there aren't words to describe how phenomenal these are!), Corn bread, Mac and cheese and the slaw. We shared the meal and there was more than enough for us, with plenty to take home for bagels the following day. If I didn't live in London, England I would camp outside to get some of those burnt ends again!

Pulled pork burrito and the Mac and cheese was phenomenal. Great service, excellent bbq- will be back!

Brisket by the pound
Love the brisket. Never thought much of it before I tasted it at Franklin's BBQ in Austin. Now, I will confess. Aaron Franklin makes better brisket. And there's a couple of places down in Lockhart, TX that do better as well. But...there are couple that don't, too. The Don's beats anything I've had in MA. So...you want to buy a plane ticket to Austin and wait two hours in line at Franklin's? I say you won't be disappointed. But if you're in Boston and need to be here tomorrow as well, give the Don a call...
